Let it begin...

Finally started working on the blaster. Tonight, I began by cutting off the small tip from the front of the barrel. Then unscrewing the (2) small screws from the barrel sight and the bottom of the barrel along with the the first (3) screws above the trigger to allow me to pry open the barrel to bend back the LED light into the body. ....sorry if the flash made it too bright for detail. After pulling back the LED light into the barrel...I rescrewed all of the 4-5 screws I removed earlier and proceeded to saw off the larger, remaining orange barrel end. I used a small handsaw to do this and it only took 30 seconds to saw through. Just make sure you hold the saw straight and dont move to fast and get sloppy. I thought the plastic on the Hasbro Blaster would be hard but it's much softer than i imagined it would be. Following this I did a wet sand of the area i cut off w/ 600 Grit sandpaper and used an Xacto knife to remove all of the "plastic crusties" from around the small edges of the barrel. Next i will be trying to get the raised FCC and CE logos / writing from the side of the blaster. Started doing it with an Xacto knife. Any tips?
